Turkish Adventures, From Cappodocia to Istanbul

Turkey is one of my favorite countries to visit. You are able to experience it’s true magic when you have the time to travel beyond Istanbul, especially to Central Anatolia’s Cappadocia region.

Cappadocia is the region made of fire chimney’s and open air church museums which have amazing frescos. It is a land of interesting rock formations. There are houses built into the rock formations made of tufa (soft volcanic rock). Tourists can experience underground cities that date back to biblical times.

Cappadocia is a great place for hiking and the views from a hot air balloon ride would be like nowhere else in the world.

I found a blog, the page’s page, that has some beautiful photos from their adventures from Istanbul to Cappadocia. If you are not able to visit Turkey, at least check out the photos in this blog.
